Introduction

Hope springs eternal, so here I am again. OK, so who am I: a Canadian girl (with an English mum) who landed in the United States and likes it fine, mother of one daughter who is getting ready to launch out into life on her own and also one devoted little dog named Freddie who is looking to stay with me for the rest of his doggie life! Cats are on the agenda.

I'm generally a quiet person (on the outside, anyway) but I'm friendly and I like to laugh a LOT. I'm a reader, I'm getting more outdoorsy again this summer, looking forward to doing a lot of hiking and maybe some kayaking if I get brave. I'm a musician (vocalist, flutist) and would make music my life's work if it was feasible, but as it is I do it for love. Aspiring gardener, wannabe horsewoman (could probably count on one hand the times I have actually been on horseback, but was one of those horse-crazy girls as a child)...

I'm in the "I could lose a few" category working my way back to average/athletic. Never going to worry about being "skinny" again, because I've been there and it was miserable for me - I was hungry, cold, and grouchy!!! LOL So fit is what I aim for these days, rather than skinny.

I'm on the old-fashioned side. I don't mind working outside the home if need be, but I prefer to have lots of time to focus on taking care of my home and family. This old-fashionedness also means that I prefer for the gentleman to make the first move. :)

I love animals, like chocolate but need to break up with it, like being in the country and living the simple life.

What I'm looking for: well, a good man. Loyalty, honesty, reliability...I'm ultimately looking for someone to spend the rest of my life with, because I've been through divorce once and I never, ever, ever want to experience it again, so be warned -- the guy who ends up with me, gets me for life, just so we understand each other! :) I'm not a mindgame player and I'm not in the market for one, I just don't have the time to waste, and if you are the right guy you don't either, because we just want a warm, happy, fun, sturdy relationship, right? :) A great sense of humor is vital or you wouldn't be able to stand me.
