Hi... my name is Terry, I'm 'semi' retired, and live a few miles from town, on 10 acres with a natural woodsy flavor to it, frequented by various birds and other 'critters', My humble abode is cabin-like, far from 'lavish', (and not quite finished...) I like to putter around in my new garage, enjoy yardwork and 'mini' bonfires fueled by dead & down trimmings from my woods, watching the night sky, the moon, stars, and occasional northern-lights... I enjoy riding my Harley on long and short 'putts' on the many 2-lane country roads & highways from 'here' to...'where-ever'... I like to 'play around' on my guitar, (sing a bit...) my cat is my 'captive' audience, and she seems to dislike harmonica ! Lately I've been busy helping my sister with my mom's health care needs... So I've not been very active on ASC lately ('unpaid' status) Just got the 'urge' to freshen up my profile a bit...! (I thought it was going 'stale'...)

What I'd like to do on a first date...
Nothing 'formal'. Easy does it. Take some time to absorb first impressions while doing something that each of us might enjoy. See if we feel comfortable with each other. If nothing 'clicks' between us, 'gracefully' decide where to go with it (or without it) from there...
My past relationships have taught me...
I was married 18 yrs, and you'd think I should've learned a thing or two... But now all these 'post-divorce' years later, I sometimes wonder if I'm even 'suitable for framing'... If you have strong tendencies to 'make changes' in someone, think 'twice' before investing too much 'effort'...! ;) (Friends First...!)
To me, being an Adventist means...
...believing in God, that He IS coming soon, being mindful of my relationship with Jesus, and trusting in His Love, learning to balance Faith, not trusting in my own "works", learning how to love others as Christ Loves us all... (I like to 'mind my own business'...)
In five years, I see myself
...God only knows. Even John Lennon concluded that, ..."Life" is what happens while you're making "other plans"... (This is what seems to be what's happening in my own life...!)
My favorite Bible passage is...
John 3:16 is basic, covers everyone who Believes in Him... I also like the "By Faith"... passages, as it pretty much offers PROOF that God Loves "Sinners", and is able to do His Work through imperfect "Believers"...
One final thing I'd like to mention...
I know I'm not 'perfect', but it seems that God isn't 'finished' with me yet... It would be good to be with someone who understands that 'nagging' is not the way to a man's heart...
