Introduction
Hey. I am a person who by the grace of God is as much of a follower of Christ as I can be. I believe that my Christianity is much more than intellectual understanding of truth but leaves me with a moral responsibility as well. As such how I treat others, and the amount of respect and dignity I show to my fellow human beings regardless of their religious backgrounds and beliefs is important. I completed my Mdiv at Andrews University in 2011. I worked as a pastor in Benton Harbor, MI before I moved to Mount Vernon, Ohio. In a couple months I will be finishing up my first year as a chaplain and bible teacher at Mount Vernon Academy.

Something active, adventurous, and fun, but also allows for conversation and connection on common experiences and ideas about life. Hang gliding, skydiving, hiking, or even a trip to cedar point (my favorite amusement park) for an adrenaline rush on roller coasters! :P

To sum it up in a sentence I would say patience, the fact that a relationship should sit somewhere on a balance between ease and effort/investment of time and energy, and you can't sit around waiting for someone but neither can you go outside of God's plan for who he has for you.

Its more than truth and abstract discussions about absolute truth. Its about how that truth intersects with the realities of life and makes an actual difference in the lives of people. Whatever I do I want to leave every place I go somehow better because I was there. Christianity is only worth it if it helps me to do that.

Get my chaplaincy endorsement and join one of the branches of the military as a chaplain. I want to go skydiving, parasailing, run my first marathon, go on a rafting trip on the colorado river through the Grand Canyon, go hang gliding, and hike the Incan trail to Machu Pichu! Somewhere along the way I would also like to be able to watch the sunrise (or set, or both...) on the rim of the Grand Canyon with someone I have fallen in love with. :)

psalm 46:1-3, 10-11. "Be still and know that i am God" My paraphrase is "shut up and listen." Life is full on endless striving for happiness and control. But I think where God ultimately wants us is to get to the point where we realize how little control we have. Thats when he starts to work.

Here are a few of my favorite quotes: 1: "We claim Christianity is true, a claim awesome by contemporary standards but then we whittle down that claim by the patterned incongruity of our practice of the truth" - Ravi Zacharias
"To many times we stand aside, and let the waters slip away. till what we put off till tomorrow has now become today. so don't you sit upon the shoreline and say your satisfied. choose to chance the rapids and dare to dance the tides." - Garth Brooks
"Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature.... Life is either a daring adventure or nothing." - Helen Keller
"Nothing is so strong as gentleness, nothing so gentle as real strength" - St. Francis de Salles
"Every death is a question mark at the the end of the book of a beating heart, and the answer is found in the silent dark, on the dome of the sky in a billion stars." - Andrew Peterson
