UPDATE 11/2/14

Joining this site has been a great learning experience for me. Trying to meet a 7th-day Adventist man online turned out to be even more challenging (I would say 10x more) than meeting one in person. I never would have guessed that would be the case. Online dating may not have worked for me but hopefully it will for you. Good luck on your search!
Gentlemen here's some advice:

1) Be honest!...Enough said ☺

2) Don’t be shy! You joined an online dating site for a reason. This is neither the place nor the time to be shy.

3) Don’t be flaky! Don’t waste her time.(br style="background-color: yellow;" (span="")/)
4) Be descriptive! Take the time to fill out the Fun Facts and Essays section using your best grammar.

5) Pray, pray, pray that God gives you the spirit of discernment as it is hard to truly get to know someone’s true character and intentions through a screen.

Quote: “If someone shows you who they are the first time, believe them.”

Hi! My name is Farrah :-)

I'm not looking for the "perfect" man because I don't believe there's such a thing. My ideal "perfect" man has flaws all over the place just as I do. I truly believe what makes someone "perfect" is their acknowledgment that they are not but strive to be. The type of person that I would like to get to know is someone that is honest, loyal and a true lover and follower of Christ.

What I'd like to do on a first date...

The perfect first date simple yet carefully planned. For example ice skating or a nice simple outing at a park where we can get a chance to talk freely getting to know one another.

My past relationships have taught me...

I have learned that being open and honest are vital in maintaining a healthy relationship whether it be a friendship or romantic.

To me, being an Adventist means...

Being a 7th adventist christian to me has always meant someone who is a follower of Christ, believes in the Bible and the spirit of prophecy, the writings of Sis E.G. White.

In five years, I see myself

Career wise: In a classroom in some country teaching math and/or science in the students native tongue. I have a heart for teaching and a passion for learning new languages. My goal this year is to be fluent in Spanish, French, Portuguese and Italian. It took me several years to realize what my purpose is (I used to be pre-med). For some reason God has given me the gift to learn new languages. So I want to use this gift to spread the His word and bringing people closer to God in my travels.
Health wise: Be done with my transition to becoming a raw vegan and to complete my first full marathon (26.2 miles!)
Spiritually: Well honestly that is ties in with my career. I know that whatever God has in store for me to do professionally will definitely be centered on teaching/ministering to others. Currently I am at the next level spiritually with God. I'm getting to know God not just for what He has done or what He is capable of doing but rather simply for who He is. I realized that there was a greater need to know God the Father. I was so acquainted with God as my healer, protector, comforter etc..

My favorite Bible passage is...

My new favorite passage as of late 2 Corinthians 4:7-10, 16-18. This passage gives me so much hope and reassurance. Irregardless of the many trials I may go through life I know that God will always make a way when I feel there is no hope. Sometimes the troubles of this life can be draining especially if they come one after another. But thank God for Calvary and Jesus's blood that was spilled so that we all can look forward to eternity with our maker.

One final thing I'd like to mention...

Feel free to send me a message if you have any comments or questions :-)

Also a really powerful quote that epitomizes the trials in this life: "If you saw the size of the blessing coming, you would understand the magnitude of the battle you are fighting."
