My relationship with Jesus Christ has grown tremendously since I became an Adventist 5 years ago. I have learned that living a sanctified life is possible & I very much enjoy walking side by side with our precious Lord & Savior. Won't you join me?

What I'd like to do on a first date...

Something fun, yet intellectual. A long game of chess at a local coffee shop would be nice (even though I don't drink caffeinated beverages or coffee). After that, depending on the weather, we could either go to a church function, or hiking at some local parks - perhaps even participate in a charity or do some volunteering together (so we could see how well we work together in a team); Lots of activity, but with little noise, so we can carry on a conversation.

The best result of a "first date" is that each person parts, considering it a worthwhile experience.

My past relationships have taught me...

Never assume God would agree, if He hasn't YET! Love is not something we fall in & out of, like a trance. We discover love inside ourselves for another person. In relationships there should never be compromise.... only win-win situations.

To me, being an Adventist means...

Awaiting the return of Christ & preparing for it to happen every day with the way we live.

In five years, I see myself

I'm open minded to whatever God has in store for me. Life throws curve balls at us all the time.Thank God life isn't predictable! If it were there'd be no room for surprises!

My favorite Bible passage is...

Frequently changes: But I really enjoy: "I am the Light of the world. He who dwells in Me, shall not walk in darkness, but will have the Light of life."

One final thing I'd like to mention...

I (Rhonda) am filling out this profile for my "dad" Dan! He's not biological Dad but he took me in under his wing while I was in college & we have been very close ever since. We were going through the adoption process when I got a live-in care-giver position & we never followed through. We still treat each other like Dad & daughter though & I want the best for him. I lived with him in a seperate attached apt for a while & that's when I realized how much he values companionship & really would benefit from having a woman in his. We tried going for walks every day & I must admit his job keeps him busy so I tended the house quite a bit. He is incredibly loving, & one of the few people I know who I would consider a true Christian. He does bible studies with people in the community, is actively involved with decision making at church & makes decisions regarding Sabbath school. He is a good cook & is very agreeable. He gets along great with just about anyone. I'd like to set him up with someone. If you are interested in knowing more, please let me know!
