Introduction

I'm a chemical engineer who has ended up in private equity portfolio work so I'm a socially-competent, moderately ambitious nerd who likes to travel.

I'm always up for learning something new; life is boring if you're not learning. I am extremely curious about how everything works; I enjoy finding out what motivates people and learning from their experiences. The same is true in my Christian walk: I want to strengthen my faith and constantly improve my understanding of God's character.

Being mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually healthy is very important to me. I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, horseback riding, rock climbing, and water-related activities (although I should really improve my swimming skills). In my unfortunately limited spare time I also enjoy playing the violin, reading a good book, and finding the answer to the latest random question in my head.

I am looking for someone who is intelligent and emotionally healthy, who believes in and is true to himself. Someone who has healthy self-esteem, but still tries to better himself and is committed to a genuine relationship with God.
