Introduction

I’m very open, sociable, laugh a lot, enjoy stimulating conversation, and draw interesting elements into my life. Apparently I am easy to approach, just last night a woman (completely unknown to me) came and sat down next me at dinner, grabbed the menu and told me what we were going to order together!

I also love to travel, have backpacked in the Swiss and Austrian Alps and through Europe using trains 7 times and would do it again! I’m up for pretty much any adventure and have been to 24 countries so far…when it involves traveling or the outdoors I’m in. It would be nice to find someone that has a similar sense of adventure, is active and can keep up with me :P

One thing about me that is entirely unique is what I do for a living…12 years ago I started up two companies, dot-com’s in unique niche areas. Since they are online exclusively, I am afforded an unusual ability to work from a home office, or out of a laptop should I want to travel. I am a portable man, if you will! In addition I also teach high school, part time, at one of our Adventist schools because I can, and because I enjoy both the energy of kids and the feeling of knowing I am making a difference on some level!

Some random things about me:
1. I have a 4 wheeler and love to quad and camp along the trails.
2. I love to cook, friends tell me I should start a vegetarian restaurant.
3. My first and middle name are specific to where I was born.
4. I have ridden an exotic animal that no one else I know has ever ridden.
5. I drive a hybrid vehicle and try to be a "Green" person :-).

I am at the top of my game physically...Most of my friends are inspired by my active lifestyle and places I go, and sometimes it’s hard to find someone able or willing to tag along. With that, being active and physical fitness have become an integral part of who I am…although trust me, that won't stop me from enjoying chocolate, or relaxing in the house on a rainy day in bed, cooking or playing games :D

My latest fitness emphasis has been bike riding, including my personal record which was 50 miles in one ride. Generally though, I ride 7-10 miles a day with an occasional run thrown in to switch things up.

I live just miles from the ocean and Southwest Florida's famed Siesta Key Beach, so I spend a fair amount of time at the (SPANstyle="font-weight:bold;")beach, in the water and the outdoors. What is not to love about the water, especially when it's accompanied by a cool sea breeze?!

I enjoy gardening, and I especially love to grow herbs, tomatoes, and peppers. I have planted a number of fruit trees in my back yard, including mango, avocado, lemon, banana, navel, lime, and honeybell. Yes I have a green thumb :-)

I guess you could say I am a rogue handyman, and can do just or fix about anything to make a home more pleasing, from wall trim to broken water pumps. With that said, I know the value of time too, and am more than willing to call a professional in exchange for quality time with my woman person, family and friends ;-)

I’m very affectionate, loyal, and a hopeless romantic…I’m really open to finding my best friend. Here are my top 5 core qualities I look for in a best friend:

1. A relationship with God - without that, where would we be headed?
2. Openness & honesty - I don't want to find out you eat thick crust pizza five years into knowing you and I have been ordering thin crust all along!
3. Complementary interests and goals - Doing things together is great, but is it too much to ask that we both actually enjoy them? Just saying :-)
4. Mutual admiration & trust - We all want to be trusted, but I think admiration makes a great play date with trust. So yes, I want to admire the heck out of you! :-)
5. Healthy lifestyle - being active and fit is more than just something I talk about. After all, it would be nice to have you around for a while, a long while!

I love God, and strive to be the best person I can, and to treat others with respect and compassion. While I won't thump you with the bible, I do my best to be a good example to those I am around and enjoy talking about all the cool things God has in store for us one day!
