Most importantly -- let the Lord lead. Take time to become well acquainted through meaningful, open communication! Above all -- pray much! Also, love is like a budding flower - it blossoms in its own time and at its own pace, and it needs a lot of care. :)

To live a life dedicated to Him by allowing Him to prepare me for heaven and, through me, to reach others for Him.

I graduated in August, 2012 with a Ph.D. in Church-State Studies and now serve as the Religious Liberty Director for the Texas Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. My degree is inter-disciplinary and involves studies from theology, law, politics, sociology, philosophy, and anthropology. I conduct about one weekend seminar on religious liberty each month and preach on the remaining weekends at my two churches in Waco (English and Spanish). Interacting with people, some of whom are legislators/politicians, requires a degree of tact, for which I pray daily! Somewhere along the way, I plan to establish a family.

There are many Bible passages that are my favorites -- but, one of special significance is "Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed; for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest" Josh. 1:9 -- this is God's special promise to all who have responded to His call of leadership and ministry to His people.
