Introduction

So the farthest I've ever gone is 26.2 miles, on foot that is. Yep, I went that far and that doesn't include the walk back to the metro station (that was painful). I'm quiet and shy when I first meet someone. Also, I probably should have adult supervision when I'm bored and on the internet since that's what got me everything from spending a year in Poland to entering my first
marathon. I just got my first motorcycle about a year ago and the only thing comparable to a good ride is a good run with or without my dog. The dog is also new. I just rescued my first dog, an 18 month pitbull mix, in August. That's right, I run marathons for fun, ride a rice rocket, rock a faux hawk and own a pit bull.
If you made it through all that without hitting the back button or falling asleep, you definitely deserve a finisher's medal. Sadly, I forgot to order them in advance, but if you want one, just let me know. Or just contact me if you have questions or want to chat too. I promise I don't bite, but the dog is kinda protective ;)

What I'd like to do on a first date...
A good first date would be learning to snowboard, surf or sky dive. Or walking rescue pups at an animal shelter as you can learn a lot about someone by the way they treat animals.
To me, being an Adventist means...
Funny enough, I define myself as Protestant instead of Adventist. This means I believe in the Protestant creeds: solo scriptura, solo fide, solo gratia, solo Cristo and soli Deo gloria.
In five years, I see myself
In the next five years I will run more marathons and eat lots of ice cream. I will utterly spoils my nieces, cats and pitbull every chance I get. I will run from one rim of the Grand Canyon and back again in less than 24 hours. I will laugh, I will love, I will cry, and I may even learn to dance.
My favorite Bible passage is...
My favorite Bible passage is 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." My other favorite Bible text is Jeramiah 29:11 "For I know my thoughts towards you, thoughts of peace and and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." This verse has gotten me through so many black valleys the past few years because it assures and promises me that no matter how bad things are God still loves me and it will get better. It gives me hope.
